The luxury of Newport Bay Villa is based on contrasts. Located in the center of a town with a lot of life, it breathes calm and the silence of isolation at the same time. At a height that offers breathtaking views of the marina, the sea and the coastline, the Villa feels the Atlantic Ocean at its feet, surrendered. Completely renovated for its guests, with an avant-garde, open-plan style and with all the imaginable comforts, it is also full of cozy and charming corners where you can turn a stay into an experience.
On this island, Newport Bay Villa is one of those jewels that can no longer be bought. It does not belong to the market. It is one of those treasures that is inherited from the centuries, it is prepared for the new times and it is offered to the world so that others can enjoy it as well. No one can own your experience like no one can own the sea breeze and the warmth of the sun. Newport Bay Villa is located in the town of Candelaria, one of the most sought-after areas of Tenerife for being on the south side of the island, enjoying an enviable sunny climate practically all year round, but also being close to the capital, La Laguna, the north of the island and also the bustling south.
At number 34 of the very same Avenida Marítima de Candelaria, on the seafront and a few meters walk from the main leisure and restaurant area, we find the oasis of Newport Bay Villa. It is a 580 m2 building completely renovated, decorated, furnished and equipped taking care of every last detail with the aim of offering its guests a unique and unforgettable experience. Its modern architectural style and minimalist interior design uses straight lines, contrasts, functionality, light, spaciousness and transparency as a fundamental resource.
The entrance
Already from the outside, you can appreciate the modern and minimalist style of this one-story construction, with a flat roof. Its façade, simple and subtle, is preceded by a sober and elegant stamped concrete exterior wall that gives maximum privacy to the property and, at whose sight, no one could imagine what is hidden inside.
After crossing its gate and going through the wide entrance corridor, the Villa opens up to our eyes, showing us an immense and diaphanous main room where luminosity and spaciousness stand out. This south-facing room is practically entirely glazed by means of huge sliding-leaf windows, which allows an almost total fusion between the interior and the marine environment outside. The breathtaking views with the port, the ocean, the horizon and the sky as a backdrop, are undoubtedly one of the main distinctive elements of this Villa.
This large room houses three well-defined and at the same time perfectly integrated environments: the living room, the dining room and a completely open kitchen.
Living room
Next to the large three-panel window with exterior glass railings, there is a large and comfortable corner sofa with a 75” smart TV, equipped with a sound bar and wireless subwoofer. We find ourselves in a living room where rest and relaxation becomes an experience full of sensations: your proposal is to lie down on the sofa and let your eyes get lost in the distance of the horizon or in the starry night sky, with the reflection of the moon over the ocean On the other side of the room, just behind the sofa, a large glass table awaits its guests.
It should be noted that the room has blinds that prevent the passage of light and heat, but with the greatest possible degree of openness and transparency so as not to stop enjoying the views at any time. Additionally, the lighting also offers different sensations, by providing the room with two different types of light: a colder and more powerful light through the spotlights; or a more subdued and warm ambient lighting for a greater visual rest, reading or watching TV.
Kitchen
In the same room, although perfectly delimited from the living room, we find a modern open kitchen with an island. Again we find a window that covers its entire front and leaning on it an American bar from which to face the Ocean and enjoy breakfast while the sun climbs the horizon at dawn.The arrangement of this unique kitchen offers another unique experience, especially for food lovers: it places the chef behind the island and with the sea in front of him, to prepare exquisite dishes while still enjoying the sea.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all kinds of accessories and completely new state-of-the-art appliances: oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, extractor hood, coffee makers, kettle, blender, toaster, etc.
Upper bedrooms
On the upper floor we find a master bedroom with a king size double bed (180 x 200 cm) and a wall-mounted TV. The second bedroom has a double bed (135 cm x 200 cm). Both bedrooms are equipped with large closets and natural light through windows that overlook the exterior of the Villa. Likewise, all rooms have air conditioning, although most of the year it is completely unnecessary in this part of the island, warm during the day and cooler and more pleasant temperatures at night.
It is essential to indicate that all the paintings in the Villa -which we will also find in each bedroom- have been expressly commissioned and chosen to give each room a specific, special personality that is different from the rest. The guest of Newport Bay Villa will see how each one of them fits perfectly with the rest of the environment and creates a unique atmosphere in each place, a cozy corner.
Finally, in the upper part we find a bathroom with a shower integrated with the rest of the room and separated by a tempered glass partition mounted in the open air. The shower has a luxurious 40 x 40 cm shower head and a built-in drying rack in the floor.
A stop on the descent
To descend to the ground floor of the Villa, through the kitchen, we access a platform suspended several meters above the lower floor and which crowns the stair structure with some exterior armchairs. This terrace is the exterior element of the upper floor and was conceived to enjoy the views of the open air and the sea breeze from the top. The structure of the stairs, including this platform, has been equipped with a glass railing so as not to intervene visually in the architecture and the harmony of the space, favoring the visual crossing.
Porch
Once on the ground floor, we find a splendid porch with a sofa area and a mobile television set, with a Playstation 4 game console and a Bluetooth sound column. In addition, the house also has a large extendable outdoor dining table for up to 10 people, to enjoy group meals in this outdoor area.
It is an area to enjoy the stillness, to be imbued by the incredible silence that is enjoyed, even in the middle of this town full of life. Sitting in their armchairs, it is a real pleasure to let the afternoon fall between drinks and jokes, just before turning on the lights in the pool area that will illuminate the evening from then on.
Following the porch, there are several square meters of soft and comfortable grass that delimits this area with the pool area. On one side, bordered by flower boxes, we find other of those special corners of the villa: two bamboo armchairs hang in which to relax and be rocked by the sound of the water that runs in the fountain under the stairs.
Pool and solarium
Undoubtedly one of the best parts of Newport Bay Villa is its pool and solarium area. The lawn leads, through a walkway, to a large and elegant private pool (7 x 4 meters and two heights deep) with a very particular design. Above it, stands a representation of the Rose of the Winds, sculpted in relief, which presides over it and is one of the few elements maintained from the original configuration of the Villa. The sculpture seems to illuminate the white and undulating curves that twist around the perimeter to give shape to flower boxes and benches where you can relax and sunbathe.
On the side closest to the sea, at the edge of the pool, is the solarium area with hammocks. Just behind, large windows run along the south façade and allow a glimpse of the relaxed life of the marina and the immensity of the sea from a different height and perspective. Finally, the last white curves hide a shower to rinse off after leaving the pool or simply cool off.
At this point it is essential to highlight the great advantage of the strategic south orientation of the Villa. Thanks to her, the sun describes, from its exit, an arc over the Villa, allowing you to enjoy the incidence of the sun practically all day (until 7:00 p.m. during the summer period). This fact, together with the white of its outline and the range of grays on the floor and walls, make the solarium area the best possible place to tan between baths.Finally, it is important to note that the pool is treated naturally with a saline chlorination system, without chemicals, to guarantee the highest water quality and crystalline transparency.
Ground floor roomsThe ground floor is configured almost as an independent house that offers complete privacy to the guests staying there. The marine and fresh touch of the decoration of this part of the house, marked by neutral whites, mixed with blue tones and elements of wood, rope and bamboo, follow the style of the exterior and contrast perfectly with the more sober character of the plant. high. Inside, we find a new living room that opens onto the terrace through a large window and a glass door. It has a very comfortable cheslong sofa and a 40'' TV with Google Chromecast. The lighting in this room, like the one on the upper floor, has a white light modality and a warmer one.
On one side of this room, we find the main bedroom on this floor. It has a diaphanous window open to the terrace that illuminates the room and allows you to see the outside, the pool and the blue sky from the bed.In front of the bed (150 x 200 cm) we find another 32'' TV and a huge walk-in closet with interior led lighting. In addition, the bedroom has a vertical mirror and, like the previous ones, air conditioning.
On the other side of the living room, there is the last bedroom with a double bed (135 cm x 200 cm), natural lighting through a window to the outside, a large closet, mirror and air conditioning.
Finally, we find a second bathroom for the ground floor, very similar to the one on the upper floor, with a continuous floor shower and a tempered glass screen mounted in the open air.
The billiards and games room
Newport Bay Villa is not finished yet. There is still one plant left to explore. From the pool area, at one end of the window, there is a hidden staircase that continues to descend.
We passed through a mezzanine where the Villa's owners' boat was once sheltered and from where it was lowered to the sea every time they decided to sail. For this reason, in this area those times have been recreated through nautical motifs and, as in that time, a boat that continues to hang from the ceiling by half ropes and the original pulley system.If we go down to the base of this three-story Villa, passing under the barge, an exterior door leads us to another small terrace located at the lowest point of the construction. Another perspective, another unique corner about three meters above the port, where you can feel the sea breeze even more closely and breathe an immense calm, with the lullaby of the sea and the sound of the boats rocked by the waves. Finally, the final flight of stairs gives direct access to the port and the sea, although it is only possible to access if there is a boat available (check this possibility if you are interested).
The last corner of the Newport Bay Villa is a leisure room, with a professional pool table, poker table, dart board, Bluetooth sound column and 40'' TV where you can enjoy sporting events, a bar cabinet and a small fridge where you can keep cold beers to liven up your leisure time. The room has ventilation and natural light through a double sliding window, also facing the sea and the port.

To one side, we can reach the old town of Candelaria. There is the Basilica of the patron saint of the Canary Islands, the Virgin of Candelaria, which can be seen in the distance from the upper floor of the villa. In just 10 minutes on foot from the Villa we can reach one of the most emblematic and must-see sites on the island. On the other side, we arrive at the long Avenida Marítima that runs along the sea along a wooden path where we will see the locals walking or playing sports. On the opposite side, we find multiple bars and cafeterias with their respective terraces, where you can have lunch or dinner.
In addition, on this same avenue, towards the end, we find Playa del Cabezo, also very frequented by locals. At the gates of the Villa you will find all the services you can imagine: supermarket, pharmacies, shops, restaurants, bars, etc. A few minutes away there is a shopping center that is open every day of the year and has cinemas. You would never have imagined that such a quiet place could be so central: a true oasis.
