An inappropriate apartment for a medium-long stay. The apartment is noisy since it is located on a main avenue with up to 10 car lanes and an intersection. It was not well insulated and at night the noise would not stop. This forced my early departure from the apartment and Monlar Homes has not wanted to solve the problem by any means. Additionally, in the area there are many street kids asking for money to park in public areas, if you don't pay, they will scold you. I don't recommend it at all.

After 20 hours of driving we arrived to the house and was completely dirty, we had to clean whole house after all this hours of travel, there was an issue with a light and dishwasher from day 1 never repaired while we were there! But the most unfair is the price, for humidity, location and mold not best place to live.

Wonderful landlord and wonderful to work with. Would respond to my messages within a few hours. Although, the home needs a little bit of updating. I had to clean as soon as I arrived and many things were broken as well. The toilet does not flush more than once an hour which could be an issue if two people were staying there. The counter is cracked and glued together as well as the tub is being held together with plaster. The downstairs neighbors have the TV on all day long so if you plan on working, it might get annoying.

There is no microwave, oven, dishwasher, or laundry machine. These are just things to keep in mind if you plan on staying long-term.

The location is wonderful and it is ok if you plan on being in Prague for a week or less, but I would not recommend it for a long-term stay. I did move out early and Aurelien did make that very easy.

The house was not as advertised, no het, offerring of only blankets when there was an operable heatings system as promised in your Flatio documentation and on your website. Communication between you and your landlord was non existant and you left your tenant without recourse but to leave early. Then you keplt the tenants payments.

"Jan Dudensing" is a disbarred former attorney from Sacramento California. You may google her name. Our rental during our family's relocation was a disaster and we are continuing our legal avenues to recover nearly 3K Euro in lost rent and incurred costs. We were forced to move from her Campo Pequeno flat because of constant harassment requesting to allow strangers visit the flat who were interested in long term rentals. The walls were moldy, wet and the appliances could not be used at the same time - obviously the wiring was badly done during the 'renovation'.
She is aggressive, unapologetically so - and continually (even now, weeks later) threatens us with lawsuits and the like, all because we advised her in advance that we were moving to another flat because of the constant requests to allow strangers to "view" the flat.
Please beware and avoid this landlord at all costs.

BEWARE! DO NOT STAY HERE! Staying here was the worst experience of any accommodation I have ever had in my life. The landlady kicked me out without any early written notice or any reason, only after 19 days of my living in her house (my contract period is 30 days), which severely breached the agreement (3 days early written notice only when the tenant has fault). There was a guy named Dan in the house (I don't know who he is or their relationship) who told me deliberately on late night of December 3rd that on the next day I should leave and never come back (I was planning to travel to Spain for a short 6-day period while maintaining residence in the house). The landlord was away that night (I don't know if she did this on purpose). I sent her messages to ask her if that was what she wanted. At first she denied knowing anything about this Dan kicking me out but then changed to say that Dan can do what he wants and she authorized him to do so. That was ridiculous and horrendous! When I tried to call the police this Dan guy intimidated me and threatened that the police would not help me because I do not speak Portuguese.

I had to move out early next morning at 6 am because I had plane to catch and I was much concerned about the safety of my personal belonging and myself. I did not leave voluntarily but was forced to. However the landlady told Flatio that I left voluntarily. During all this process the landlady never gave any reason for expelling me nor any early writtn notice stating any fault that I had had. Only an oral notice in the middle of the night just 6 hours before expulsion from a Dan guy who is not any party of the agreement. She took advantage of me having to travel early next morning. I had to find a place to store my personal stuff in the middle of the night!

I was forced out of the place without any reason or compensation. The most unbelievable thing was yet to come. When I later claimed my remnant part of rent from Flatio the landlady produced a document that they wrote with a fake signature of me, stating that they gave me some money back and even deducted a cleaning fee. This was extremely ridiculous as Flatio clearly states that there is NO CLEANING FEE ever! So far I have not gotten my money back, let alone any penalty or compensation from the landlady. That means I paid 450 euros for 19 days, much of a highway robbery.

To tell some truth about this place, the rent seems cheap (450 euros per month) but you have to beware that it is literally in the middle of nowhere. Even the roads leading to it are unmade, full of rubble and ravel. You cannot even get here if you do not have a car. Even worse, the landlady's fanboy Dan asks male tenants to sit down on the toilet seat to pee instead of standing and the landlady has to turn off the WiFi at night because she thinks it affects her sleep.

I still cannot believe what has happened to me here. It was such a frustrating and traumatic experience. A total disaster and nightmare. My suggestion: STAY AWAY AS FAR AS YOU CAN.

Warning: Unpleasant Experience BE CAREFUL !!!

I recently had the displeasure of staying in a property during my holiday in Lisbon, and I feel compelled to share my experience to caution other potential tenants.

Firstly, my stay was marred by an unexpected and exorbitant charge imposed by the landlord. Initially, they insisted on charging an outrageous 400EUR extra for guests, even though the property was advertised as accommodating a certain number of people. This unexpected demand was not only unfair but also put a damper on our holiday plans.

Upon refusing to comply with this unreasonable request, the landlord then revised the extra charge to 258EUR. While negotiating, we agreed to pay 158EUR as a compromise. However, this seemingly amicable agreement took an abrupt turn when the landlord threatened to kick us out of the property if we didn't agree to their revised terms.

This entire experience was incredibly stressful and unsettling, especially during what was supposed to be a relaxing holiday. It's disheartening to encounter such unprofessional behavior from a landlord who is supposed to provide a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

My advice to future tenants considering properties in Lisbon is to exercise caution. Ensure that all terms and conditions are clarified and agreed upon in advance to avoid any unwarranted surprises. Unfortunately, my experience has compelled me to give the landlord a lower rating, and I sincerely hope that others can learn from my ordeal.

In conclusion, my holiday in Lisbon was overshadowed by the unpleasant dealings with the landlord. I hope this review serves as a warning to fellow travelers and encourages landlords to address such issues promptly to maintain the trust of their tenants.

This apartment was the worst experience that I ever had. When we moved in, we had to clean the kitchen by ourselves, because it was very dirty.

After approx. two weeks, the toilet started to leak the water. When we announce this to the apartment owner, she at first said she will call someone to fix it, but nobody came for the first scheduled time. After trying to contact the owner again, she threaten me that if some water leaks to the neighbours flat I will be responsible for it and she blocked me on the phone. In very urgent situation, she was responding only via Flatio platform and with with absolutely inadequate frequency and communication style.

The second agreed time, the plumber came, but he fixed nothing, the problem only gets worse (he had no spare parts and after dismantling the toilet the flushing button was broken and to toiled was completely unusable). I tried to contact the owner, but with no response, even on Flatio. On fourth day without usable toilet, we decided to leave the apartment, because it the situation was unbearable.

This flat owner only cares about her profit. She is a shame of the Czech Republic flat renters. Stay away from this renter and apartment.

LANDLORD'S REPLY:
Due to completely false information, Flatio does not include this rating in the owner’s overall rating.

The apartment was - is - in neglected state in a house in neglected condition, no light outside in the garden, when you get home in the night you have to use theo torch of your phone, if your hands are free for that. The owner‘forgot’ to mention in his advertisement that there are two floors high stairs to go to the apartment without lift. The bulb went out, the air conditioner went out - the most important things were out of order. The humidity in the apartment is too high (50-60%). It’s been a nightmare.

There was no internet during our stay, the landlord tried to fix it with a hotspot, but as my partner and I both were working from home, we needed good wireless internet, we could not work properly for a month. Not recommended for digital nomads.
The alarm went off multiple times. The windows could't be closed, the bathroom door couldn't be closed. The kithcen lacks in many many things, it caused us a headache to borrow things from friends, eg. breadknife, spatula. The communication was not easy with the landlord or the co-host. After a while they did not respond to our messeges. The only good thing is the location, but need to know even though it is central it is not the safest part of the city, many homeless people hanging around as you enter the building.

BEWARE… the photos on the website are at least 10 years old and do not accurately depict the condition of the flat. There were several deficiencies that were reported to the landlord and were never rectified- 1) There were two major water leaks in the ceiling of the living room requiring the placement of buckets every time it rained;
2) The “climatisation” system was insufficient and consisted of a defective air conditioner and a “mobile air cooler” (also known as a fan). The flat was uninhabitable when the outdoor temperature reached 35C.
3) A third of the mostly LED light bulbs in the flat were burnt out. The bulbs were not available in local stores and most would have required the use of ladder to replace (because of the 4-meter-high ceilings).
Our contract listed Orsolya as the “Landlord” yet when we contacted her about these deficiencies, she claimed that she was only a rental agent and could not do anything directly. She claimed to have notified the “owner” about the problems but there was never any follow up.
To summarize, we paid higher than average rent for a leaky, sweltering, dark apartment (based on deceptive website photos and descriptions) to a mysterious “owner” who had no intention of rectifying any issues.
WE DO NOT RECOMMEND RENTING THIS FLAT.

As opposed to what was promised, there is no balcony in the apartment.
Be ready to live on the loudest street in budapest, with ambulances and police sirens every 10 min.
All of that with a host that lies to you (the 'smart ac' is just a way to make sure you are not enjoying it too much), and also treats you like a child (frequent house inspections).
Be ready for lack of privacy with an unmentioned common area (there is a picture, yes, but very ambiguous and without a word of description).

Didn't return my money back! Not trustworthy!

We booked the apartment for 6 months. After staying for there for 3ish months, we found our permanent apartment so gave 30 days notice (on 20th of the month) as per Flatio's guidance. When we gave notice, we had already paid the rent for the following month (up till 30th of the following month). This meant that the landlady was supposed to return the last 10 days rent to us given based on our 30 days we would check out 10 days early.

When I asked the landlady to return that money, initially she was like after you checkout I will return it. So I waited for that but once I checked out she stopped replying. I contacted Flatio to help with the issue but they mainly kept saying that she isn't replying either. I would think that given Flatio's service fee (I paid 841 euros), they will take care of this issue on their own and give me my money back. Additionally, seems like there were no consequences for the landlady given this listing is still active and she got other renters.

I would just like my money back.

It's such a shame that this flat with so much potential is so poorly equipped.
I've never paid so much for a "furnished" flat and had so little.
the location is great and the unit itself is great and new and big but it was so frustrating to not have more furniture and basic items.
no TV, no microwave (although they brought one a few days later, which however was missing Rotating platter so it was useless) no drying rack for clothes, no drying rack for dishes, (dishwasher was broken) only a couch in the living room which would sit 3. Iron came a few days later however no Ironing board to be able to iron. No clothes hangars, not even a Broom or a Mop to clean the floors.
Bathtub on main floor did not hold water.
hope they spend some money and do some repairs because it is a potentially nice stay.

This would be a nice place for a short visit, but for remote-working digital nomads on a long stay, it was pretty rough. There was no AC, so it was unbearably hot all the time. The only way to cool down was opening the windows, but the traffic was so loud and close that we had to yell at each other over the noise. When we did video calls for work, had to shut the windows and sweat. We were counting down the days to leave and wouldn't recommend it.

The staff and owner were great and the location is excellent. If we hadn't been spending 40 hours a week in the apartment trying to work, it would have been great.

The apartment is in very poor condition. General very moist and mold start coming quick. Kitchen equipment and furniture worn out.
If you run the stove and the washing machine at the same time, the main fuse pops.
No shower curtain, the joints between the tiles on the bathroom floor are missing and if you’ll be away for a few days, mushrooms grow out of it.
The entrance to the apartment looks like a dumpster, because of the construction at the front building.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
This was the worst experience with temporarily renting a unit that I have ever had. When I arrived, almost none of the described equipment was in the apartment (no broom or dustpan, no mop, no extra sheets for the pullout sofa bed, no vacuum, no clothes drying rack, no ironing board, no clean sponge for dishes, no fruit/water or shower gel as advertised in the "welcome package"). PLUS, the upstairs A/C (in the bedroom) was not working. This A/C was inoperable for a week, so the first week of my stay I couldn't sleep in the only bed in the apartment AND couldn't sleep on the pullout sofa couch because no sheets were ever provided to make up the bed. Then there was an ant issue in the bathroom and kitchen when I moved in. I tried to give Maribel the benefit of the doubt in all of this and didn't report her to Flatio right away, but that was a mistake because things only got worse!!

The A/C worked without issues for about a week, then it stopped working in the middle of the night randomly. Maribel sent technicians to look at it who spied on me and reported back to her what I was wearing inside the apartment wherein she accused me of "overusing" the A/C and reported me to Flatio for something that was clearly an issue before I got there. At this point, I escalated all these issues to Flatio and Maribel told the Flatio worker that we could agree to an early contract termination by mutual agreement. I waited to see if I could change my flight home before I agreed, then once I could secure an earlier flight I agreed. I have (IN WRITING) that this landlord (Maribel) agreed to early contract termination on the specific date that I was going home and agreed to a partial refund PLUS she agreed to a Flatio worker on this arrangement--even suggesting it herself--but once I had a new flight she backed out and refused to refund me in part. Flatio did nothing to hold her accountable, although they did offer some compensation on their end to try to make up for it (which wasn't close to the amount Maribel had agreed to refund me).

In the end, the unit was unprepared to host guests--especially long-term guests. There were so many issues with the apartment I could barley leave to explore the city or enjoy the beach because I was stuck waiting for supplies to be dropped off, or technicians to come check on the A/C multiple times, or pest control. Then, when issues were persistent Maribel suggested we agree to early contract termination but once I actually changed my flight she backed out on her end of our agreement and scammed me out of ~$400 (~$50 per night x 8 nights that I left early). The one and only good thing was the proximity to the beach, BUT IT WASN'T WORTH IT. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!
