The airport is 2 minutes away by car. About 5 minutes by car you will find the municipality of Machico, known for its bay with the artificial beach of yellow sand; the fantastic views of Ponta de São Lourenço, Penha D'Águia or the Miradouro da Portela.
Funchal is a 15-minute drive away. Here you can find a wide variety of museums, gardens, activities, commercial spaces and belvederes, where you can enjoy the best views of the city.
From here you have quick access to the highway that connects the west side to the east side, which will facilitate your tours around the island.
In the center of the city of Santa Cruz you will find restaurants and grocery stores. In the parish of Caniço you can find supermarkets and a shopping center.

However, suppose the owner has already approved your reservation request, and you are no longer interested in it. In that case, you can still cancel the reservation before you sign the lease agreement. Just consider that you should do this only in essential cases. Because when the landlord accepts your reservation, their property is stopped being advertised, and they can lose the chance to rent their property to someone else.
